The are the salt dough ornaments I made as well.  Once baked and cooled, paint and decorate.

Christmas ornaments I made out of polymer clay.  I used the colored clay this time and once they were baked and cooled, I brushed a coat of sculpey glaze on them.

I bought an old suitecase and a stand at a thrift store for $25.00 total.  I screwed the suitecase onto the stand from the inside of the suitecase and polyurethaned it about 3 times.  A nice end table for that special unique look and conversational piece.  And yes, you can even hide stuff inside it.

More Mod Podge Coasters

Cut out your ics from a magazine or other book and cut to fit whatever you are mod podging on.

With a paint brush, paint some mod podge on the back of your pic and stick to the tile.  Roll our and make sure you get all the bubbles/air pockets out. 

 

Place your bottom pieces on so the tile doesn't sit directly on the table.

Mod Podge the entire tile in one direction, don't for forget the sides.  Let dry.

Spray with Mod Podge sealer or other clear sealer and wala..... your design coasters.  Or be even more creative and make a 4 pice pic out of them for your wall.  Get creative!

Mod Podge Coasters

You can buy tile pieces in thrift stores or maybe you have some left over in your home?  Cut out whatever pics you like from magazines, books, newspapers..... Have your idea in place before starting.  Dry fit your pieces so you have an idea where you want to glue them.

Mod podge the back of each piece and place them on your tile as you invisioned.  Make sure you roll out all the air bubbles (this is very important).  Let dry.

Place your self sticking stand pieces on the back, or glue them on.  You can also use pop bottle caps, buttons or whatever you have around the house so the tile doesn't sit directly on the table.  Or maybe you want them to sit on the table and don't want to glue anything on the back.  It's your creation, go wild!

Once dry and all the bubbles are out, mod podge over the entire tile.  Go in one direction, usually across, and don't be too stinby with it.  Try to make sure you get as many brush strokes out of it as you can but absolutely necessary.  Getting the right brush helps.

Let dry

 



Spray a couple coats of acrylic sealer on it and let dry.  Wala, coasters.  You can mod podge your kids pics on them for a gift, baby gift ideas, holiday ideas.....it's absolutely endless.  Total cost on this one, including buying the tile at a thrift store, .25 cents since I already had the podge and magazine. Fun gifts and fun fun for the kids too!

Sweet potatoe plants are so much fun.  It would be a fun project for your kids.  Put tooth pics in the side of the potatoe and place in a tall glass or jar.  I did learn to change the water ever couple days.  When it gets too big for the window seal, transplant into a planter and sit on your porch or even plant in the yard near a fence or make shift trailice to climb up on.  You kids will be able to see it grow each day.
